      .....THE DEALERS 3rd ALBUM WILL BE RELEASED APRIL 2009.....

Pierre and Bessie have moved to the country for the winter season and are currently in the process of recording their third album to be released in April 2009.

We can confirm that the 600 year old folk song, "The Well Below the Valley" will definitely be featuring on the album....... stay tuned for more developments as they happen!

CONGRATULATIONS BRAD & VIKKI-ANNE!

Huge congrats! to our close friends Brad and Vikki-anne , The Dealers performed at their  Tao wedding ceremony, we have to say that it was an incredibly inspirational and an extremely humbling experience ,without a doubt the most intimate wedding we have ever been to.

The ceremony made the local press as the paper lanterns released were reported as UFO sightings.

Truly wonderful peeps, Peace and positivity eternal.

-BROADSTAIRS FOLK WEEK '08-

Thank you to all those who came to support the THE DEALERS at this years highly successful Folk Week. Those that braved the rain at The Pavilion, squeezed their way into The Charles Dickens and The Neptune and lost out on sleep to attend the 2am Secret gig at the campsite, we salute you!  Two new videos have been sent in by Pete and Calli on the VIDEOS page (thanks!)

For those of you who tuned into BBC News last night, no doubt you would have seen Pierre and Bessie being interviewed and performing their song 'A Bitter Pilll' live. THE DEALERS were approached back in May to do the project due to the rapid rise of their profile in the region and the UK generally.

-THE RED BULL RACES, LONDON 3rd AUGUST 2008-

 

Despite the continuous rain, sometimes in life, everything comes together. Last Sunday at LONDON'S, RED BULL RACES, outside THE PILOT INN GREENWICH saw one of the most enjoyable gigs The Dealer Band have played to date. Thanks to those of you who braved the weather beneath skies of rain clouds and low flying aircrafts! For the shows finale', Stephane, the landord of The PILOT INN (and Pierre Vincent's more handsome brother!) sang lead on "Wondering" to the rapturous applause of his startled staff. Nice voice man! -DEAL REGATTA-

Last wednesday, Pierre Vincent, Bessie Sayce and Levon Charles were invited to perform a 45 minute set at this years DEAL REGATTA at the front of the pier. "Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant!" said Levon, "Brilliant sound and lights from Mark 1, Brilliant audience and brilliant fireworks!" This is the first time that the event has brought live music to the stage as opposed to Micheal Jackson or Robbie Williams tribute acts. The Dealers left feeling very proud of their hometown.

-MINSTER FLOWER SHOW-

Last Saturday, The Dealers Band had the pleasure of supporting X Factor finalist, Ben Mills at this years Minster Flower Show. Upon special request, Dealers Pierre Vincent and Levon Charles were asked to join Ben for his headline performance. The event also saw the reunion of Dealers Nigel Feist and Russell Grooms with their old LA DOORS band mate, Ben. Support was fantastic, thanks to you all!

-LOUNGE ON THE FARM 2008-

   

A big thank you to all that came to support The Dealers headlining the Festival Folly Stage at last weeks LOTF in Canterbury. We couldn't see the you folks at the back of the crowd but we heard that you were singing along! All music finished at the festival dead on midnight, so after the demands of a very vocal audience, The Dealers moved into the crowd and continued playing a torchlight unplugged set. What a night!

From the outside, you'd be forgiven for thinking that this was just another old mans watering hole but It's not until you walk inside The Cellars in Eastney, do you realise the amount of effort that has gone into creating one of The Dealers most favourite venues! Superb in-house sound, respectful and friendly audience and fantastic landlord, Steve Pitt. Alabama 3, Los Pacaminos, Wilko Johnson, Spiers & Boden, Glen Tilbrook and Albert Lee have all played here within the last 12 months, which proves that small pub-type venues can get it right if they stick to their guns....

At The Hop Farm with friends....

Thank you so much to Ray & Bridget (above) who bought Pierre & Bessie tickets to see Neil Young at The Hop Farm in Kent last sunday. Despite a constant downpour from 11am till 11pm, the music was fantastic. Supporting acts included The Guillemots, Supergrass and Rufus Wainwright, who provided a magical five minutes of welcome sunshine when he sang Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah". Neil Young's performance was spellbinding, putting most modern bands to shame. He played a mixture of old and new for 2 and a half hours and for his encore, "A Day In The Life" by The Beatles .....simply awesome! And lastly, (just to name drop!) Bessie was caught hob-nobbing with Romeo from The Magic Numbers and Gaz Coombes from Supergrass. Thanks for a great day out!
